Washington, DC, Jan. 28, 2015 - Megan Lum, Director of Environment and Energy Supply with Pacific Gas & Electric Co., will help lead the planning committee for the 2015 EHS Management Forum, NAEM announced today.  The Forum is the largest and longest-running conference for environment, health and safety (EHS), and sustainability leaders.

A member of the NAEM Board of Regents, Ms. Lum has been actively involved with the Forum as both a member of the planning committee and a presenter. NAEM Deputy Director Virginia Hoekenga said Ms. Lum's past contributions to the peer-to-peer agenda will serve her well in her new volunteer role.

“We're proud to have such an experienced leader at the helm of our premier conference of the year,” said Ms. Hoekenga, who oversees the program development. “I look forward to working with her to create an event that drives business value for all those who attend.”

Ms. Lum said her enthusiasm for the Forum began when she attended her first conference in 2010.

“I'm a conference skeptic – very few times have I gone to a conference and found the sessions were as useful as I hoped them to be,” she said. “So I was pleasantly surprised with NAEM – so much so that I've made sure to come back every year since.”

Ms.  Lum said she hopes to maintain the intimate feel of the Forum, even as the conference attendance continues to grow.

“I want to do is keep building on the Forum's great reputation, and is just as welcoming to the first time attendee as it is for the person who's attended for many years,” she said.
