Jun 10, 2014 2:40 PM ET

Washington, DC, June 10, 2014 /3BL Media/ – On July 10, Mike Hightower, Energy for Water Lead at Sandia National Laboratories, and Roberta Barbieri, Global Environmental Sustainability Manager with Diageo will join NAEM for a free webinar on 'The Energy-Water Nexus,' NAEM's new report outlining the business case for an integrated resource management strategy.

The latest in a new series of NAEM research papers on emerging environmental management challenges, the report provides an overview of the interdependent relationship between energy production and water supply. It also identifies the strategies corporate leaders are using today to effectively manage energy and water from a systems perspective.

“As waning supply and increased demand start to put stress on energy and water systems, companies will face new questions,” said NAEM Executive Director Carol Singer Neuvelt. “This research is our contribution to helping our members understand this changing resource landscape, and providing them with the tools they need to think through the impacts on their operations.”

The 45-minute webinar will emphasize key ideas from the report and introduce a fresh case study from Diageo's corporate water management program.  To register for the free webinar presentation of the results, please visit:  http://www.naem.org/?wbnr_2014_nexus.
