“This moves us forward as an association,” Kneiss said. “The certification process she is spearheading should help us establish a leadership position in promoting safety and providing quality education for key aspects of industry performance.”

Jones has more than seven years of experience in training and certification and has executed numerous certification programs from start to finish. She most recently worked as the product manager for training and certification at DecisionHealth in Gaithersburg, Maryland, directing development, launch and implementation of 21 new online training courses. She advanced to that position after serving the company as director for online training and certification and as assistant director of certification, and has previously held positions as a client manager, a Web producer and an editor.

“NW&RA leaders recognize the value of certification to validate the knowledge, skills and ability of their members, and I am happy and excited to be a part of such an important part of the association’s offerings by creating a legally defensible and industry-recognized certification programs,” Jones said.

Jones earned a bachelor’s degree from Hampton University in Hampton, Virginia, and has participated in numerous business, management and strategic planning programs. She anticipates acquiring her project management professional (PMP) certification this year and is a member of Project Management Institute and the Institute for Credentialing Excellence.
