Ahead of International Coffee Day next week (Sep 29th) Nestlé, a leading coffee stakeholder, has pledged to increase its shared value for coffee farmers in the country and elsewhere.

“Nestlé is proud to be involved in the coffee business and we emphasise creating shared value (CSV) through various community based Nescafé projects,” explained the Nestle Tanzania Regulatory and Scientific Affairs Manager, Marsha Yambi.

In an exclusive interview with The Guardian she noted that; “as we prepare for the upcoming World Coffee Day, we celebrate our heritage and the wonders of coffee.”

She said Nestlé, whose coffee products are under the brand name Nescafé, is currently conducting the ‘Nescafe Plan’ a global initiative that brings together under one umbrella, Nestlé's commitments to support responsible farming, production and consumption.
