SEATTLE, Wash., July 22, 2015 /3BL Media/ – Papa Murphy’s, the fifth largest pizza chain in the country, teamed up for a third year with Starlight Children’s Foundation through CBS EcoMedia’s WellnessAd program, to support Seattle-area pediatric patients at seven healthcare facilities.

This year, Papa Murphy’s funding will support Starlight Wish Lists at seven Seattle-area healthcare facilities, fulfilling critical unmet needs. Over the past two years, Papa Murphy’s has supported Starlight CBS EcoMedia’s WellnessAd program. Papa Murphy’s funding provided the healing power of play through Starlight Fun Center® mobile entertainment units and Starlight® Tablets to pediatric patients across Seattle hospitals.

The Starlight Wish List is a program of Starlight Children’s Foundation, a leading global charity that partners with experts to improve the life and health of kids and families around the world. Hospitals, clinics, specialty camps and other nonprofit healthcare facilities are able to register on the Wish List platform and request Starlight programs and other items that will improve the life and health of the kids and families they serve. Wish List items are specific to the healthcare facility’s needs and may include: arts and crafts, games, instruments, toys, apparel, books, electronics, Starlight Tablets, or Starlight Fun Center units.

“As doctors and nurses work to treat medical conditions and search for cures, Starlight improves the comfort and care of kids and families from hospital to home,” said Jacquie Hart, Starlight Global CEO. “We applaud Papa Murphy’s for their commitment to changing lives in their community, and we are proud to partner with them on transforming the healthcare experience for medically fragile children and their families in the Seattle area.”

The healthcare facilities receiving Starlight Wish List items are: Camp Korey, The Goodtimes Project, Harborview Medical Center, Prime Health Clinic, Providence St. Peter Hospital, University of Washington Medical Center, and Valley Medical Center.

The Goodtimes Project is a Starlight-partnered specialty camp that will receive Starlight Wish List items through Papa Murphy’s funding. The Goodtimes Project provides weeklong residential camp programs for cancer patients, survivors, and their siblings ages 7-17. To recognize Papa Murphy’s support, The Goodtimes Project, Starlight Children’s Foundation and CBS EcoMedia hosted a dedication at the camp. As a surprise for campers, Papa Murphy’s representatives provided all the kids, staff and volunteers at The Goodtimes Project with a pizza lunch.

"We are proud to support Starlight Children's Foundation for a third year in a row," said Todd Mulvahill, President of Papa Murphy's Seattle Co-Op. "We provided Starlight Fun Centers and Tablets at Seattle-area hospitals over the past two years and this year, we wanted to give back to another impactful Starlight program— the Starlight Wish List Program. Making a difference in our local community is important to Papa Murphy's and we look forward to continuing our support of children and families in the greater Seattle area."

“We are tremendously thankful to Papa Murphy’s for their continued support of the Starlight Children’s Foundation for a third year, through our WellnessAd program,” said Paul Polizzotto, Founder and President, EcoMedia. “Papa Murphy’s funding will help enhance the lives of pediatric patients and families across the Seattle area.”
