Responsible supply chains are quickly becoming a driving force of corporate social responsibility programs.  Companies are utilizing compliance driven initiatives to further increase sustainability within their supply chains. Retail Industry Leaders Association (RILA) will showcase the future of retailers with supply chain transparency in mind at the Retail Sustainability Conference 2014, September 29 - October 2,

Various standards, customer requirements and social pressures from non governmental organizations and consumers are constantly evolving, causing many companies to focus on providing supply chain transparency. Conflict minerals compliance is a one of many drivers of supply chain transparency, and there is a growing emphasis on integrating conflict minerals compliance into supply chain compliance activities.

Jess Kraus, CEO and founder of Source Intelligence, will be speaking at the conference on Oct. 1st. He views regulation as the driver for supply chain transparency, with shareholder and consumer activism continuing to fuel the trend. Kraus will share his insights on the current and future needs in the market, and the importance of building relationships with their suppliers and supply chain transparency as a long-term endeavor. Today, it’s Conflict Minerals, tomorrow; it’s Uzbek Cotton and Anti-corruption.

Source Intelligence, the leading provider of Conflict Minerals compliance programs, will be displaying their new interactive demo. They will discuss solutions on multi-tiered upstream and downstream supplier network, the “need for the complete picture,” that scales across programs in the supply chain whether they are: required compliance (SEC/DOJ) or addressing hidden risks (Code of Conduct, Sustainability, human rights practices.)
