Earlier in the week we announced the Ray C. Anderson Foundation's $5 million commitment to the Scheller College of Business at Georgia Institute of Technology to rename the Center for Business Strategies for Sustainability.

In early 2013, the Foundation committed the initial three-year, $750,000 seed funding that established the Center for Business Strategies for Sustainability (now the Ray C. Anderson Center for Sustainability) along with a three-year, $300,000 commitment from the Kendeda Fund.

Since its founding, the Georgia Tech Center has been active in catalyzing new research and developing course work in business sustainability for students at all levels — undergraduates, MBAs, doctoral students and executives. To support its mission to use the power of business, technology and innovation to create a sustainable future, it continues to grow relationships with an extensive network of businesses, other academic institutions, non-governmental organizations, industry groups and sustainability experts.

In 2014, the Scheller College was ranked #8 in Corporate Knights' Global 100 Sustainable MBA Programs. The Georgia Tech MBA was also listed in Bloomberg BusinessWeek's Top 30 (#9 among public universities).
