Robert Oliver has been an executive chef with Aramark for ten years and has provided meals to thousands of employees at his client location, Rubbermaid. He also lends his culinary expertise and philanthropic heart to strengthen his local community.

Chef Oliver, who resides in Decatur, Georgia has volunteerism engrained in his DNA.  He has helped lead, plan and execute numerous projects each year in support of the local Aramark Building Community partner, the Atlanta Mission. He also volunteers personal time to support other non-profits including Project Open Hand and Children's Healthcare of Atlanta, as well as volunteer events sponsored by Rubbermaid.

Most recently, Chef Oliver helped lead an Aramark Global Volunteer Day project at My Sister’s Place in Atlanta, an Atlanta Mission facility. He created a custom menu and organized volunteers to help feed lunch and dinner to hundreds of women and children who were staying at the shelter.

In addition to preparing meals, he provides both cooking classes and food demonstrations for the Atlanta Mission, teaching shelter residents not only skills to help them find jobs, but also skills to help them prepare healthy meals on a budget.

Oliver’s huge heart has made him a champion for volunteerism year over year. His colleagues say his enthusiasm brings Atlanta-area Aramark employees together, and is an inspiration to all who know him.

“Knowing that you’re helping people makes it all worth the while,” says Oliver about his passion for volunteerism.  “I believe when corporations support volunteerism, it raises the bar for individuals to participate…Aramark is one of the best companies I know that truly walk the walk when it comes to community involvement.”
