Shire Employees Honored at Healthcare Businesswomen's Association "Woman of the Year" Event

Shire is proud to announce that Amy Pott and Nicole Sweeny will be recognized at the 2017 Healthcare Businesswomen's Association (HBA) Woman of the Year event today, May 11, in New York City.

As Head of U.S. Commercial Operations, Amy will receive the Luminary Award, while Nicole, Product Strategy Lead, Global Hematology, will receive the Rising Star Award. They will join 100 other female professionals in various sectors of the healthcare industry who have demonstrated noteworthy achievements, serve as role models in their organizations and have exhibited dedication to the healthcare industry.

Shire is proud to be a longstanding corporate partner of the Healthcare Businesswomen's Association. The HBA is a global nonprofit organization comprised of individuals and organizations from across the healthcare industry committed to furthering the advancement and impact of women in the business of healthcare. The HBA accomplishes its mission through strong business networks, education, research advocacy, and recognition for individuals and companies. There are currently more than 400 HBA members at Shire.

The Woman of the Year Luncheon is an annual HBA signature event. The ceremony draws over 2,500 women and men from all sectors of healthcare, including pharmaceutical, biotechnology, advertising, public relations, medical education, and market research. During the ceremony, awards are presented to Rising Stars, Luminaries, and other accomplished professionals who serve as role models in their organizations and have exhibited dedication to the healthcare industry.
