CAMPAIGN: VolunteerMatch Clients & Partners

The Civic 50 describes itself as “an initiative to identify the 50 most community-minded companies in the nation.” But what does the term “community-minded” mean?

For starters, it means creating real social impact, instead of analyzing empty metrics and producing ineffectual PR campaigns. It means having institutional policies in place that support corporate social responsibility (CSR) initiatives, and integrating those CSR efforts seamlessly within the company’s overall business objectives. Lastly, it means a substantial investment of time, money, and leadership, funneled into measurable community and employee engagement.

In other words: Impact, Institutionalization, Integration, and Investment. These are the four dimensions The Civic 50 looks at when determining who makes the list.

This year, as in previous years, Solutions by VolunteerMatch clients have a dominating presence on The Civic 50 List. We are honored to work with these companies — who are not only making waves in their communities — but are raising the bar for how good businesses should operate in today’s business climate.

Learn how Solutions by VolunteerMatch can elevate your company’s CSR.

To quote Bea Boccalandro from the 2016 Civic 50 Report, “Civic 50 winners deserve recognition not only for being community-minded, but also for leading a long overdue correction that puts societal purpose at the heart of enduring businesses.”

Please join us in commending all the companies on The Civic 50, including our clients: Apollo Education Group, AT&T, Comcast NBCUniversal, Dr. Pepper Snapple Group, Eli Lilly and Company, MGM Resorts International, Raytheon Company, Time Warner Inc., and UnitedHealth Group. Extra cheers to AT&T and UnitedHealth Group for rising to the top of their industries as “sector leaders”!
