Subaru has donated a brand new 2018 Outback to Southeastern Guide Dogs. This is the first of three Subaru vehicles that will be donated to the organization.

The vehicle donation took place at Cannon Subaru, in Lakeland, FL on Tuesday October 17.

When asked about their involvement, Cannon Subaru owner Danny Cannon said, “Subaru believes in giving back to communities all across America and Southeastern Guide Dogs is a wonderful partner to work with. They want to make a positive difference in people’s lives and this is a great example.” The Cannon Family invited the public to come out to the dealership for the presentation, where they enjoyed complimentary refreshments and snacks while supporting a great local organization, and met some of most amazing and well-trained dogs on the planet!

“Subaru and Southeastern Guide Dogs share remarkably similar values,” said CEO Titus Herman. “We appreciate how our partnership revolves around these shared values—the pursuit of quality, a passion for excellence, and of course, the love of dogs. We are grateful for the support of the entire Subaru organization and the gift of this exceptional car, which will enhance our admissions and alumni services and boost the lifetime follow-up we give to each and every one of our graduates. On behalf of our staff and the people who receive our life-transforming dogs, we say thank you to Subaru for so generously demonstrating our common ideals of compassion and caring.”

Be sure to keep your eyes peeled on the road for these vehicles, but also be sure to follow our Instagram page to see where they take us next.
