Sustainable Vegan Market Booming in Berlin

On the last weekend of August in Berlin, the German capital was blessed with relentless sunshine and temperatures to rival Spain’s. Zoom in on the city’s iconic square AlexanderPlatz, home to the futuristic TV tower, and tens of stalls show the city how veganism has grown stronger in the city.

Hordes of people throng through the tents while dance music booms out of loudspeakers set up on a stage. Visitors are buying food and checking out some of the latest novelties available in the local market, while animal rights NGOs display materials about the work they carry out to protect non-humans. In total, the event had 90 stalls representing all different sections of veganism.
