January 21, 2016 /3BL Media/ - TD Bank Group was named to the Global 100 index today, recognized as one of the world's most sustainable companies. TD is the top ranked North American bank to make the global list, placing 54th out of 100 companies – up 22 places from last year.

“We are working to demonstrate that strong environmental and social performance go hand-in-hand with superior business results and a prosperous economy," said Karen Clarke-Whistler, Chief Environment Officer, TD Bank Group. "Finding sustainable solutions that can be broadly applied across our business operations is not always easy but we know the return on investment will benefit all of us today – and is essential to creating the society we want for our children and grandchildren."
