NORTHAMPTON, Mass., May 30, 2017 /3BL Media/ – On Thursday, June 29, 2017 at 11 am ET, UPS will host a webinar with 3BL Media to discuss its Global Materiality Assessment. The webinar, featuring Patrick Browne, Director of Global Sustainability for UPS, and Nate Springer, Manager at Business for Social Responsibility (BSR), will cover UPS’s global materiality assessment methodology, and its role in driving UPS’s sustainability strategy, goals and reporting.

“UPS does business in more than 220 countries and territories, so it’s important that we understand what sustainability issues are most important to our stakeholders around the world. Issues can vary in importance by region, country, and down to the local community, so we expanded our materiality assessment to focus on five key areas where we operate,” said Patrick Browne.

“Materiality is important for reporting, but maybe more importantly, it should identify where sustainability strategy can create the most value for a company,” said Nate Springer.

During the webinar, Browne and Springer will elaborate on UPS’s global materiality assessment by sharing examples from the latest UPS Sustainability Report and will also describe BSR’s involvement in the process. A question and answer session will follow.
