Gordon Gee, Ph.D., president of West Virginia University in Morgantown, W. Va. explores ways in which colleges and universities can instill a sense of community in students while also supporting resiliency in the face of adversity throughout the region.

Titled “The Role of the University in Promoting Community Resiliency,” this month’s chapter of President to President offers numerous examples of how West Virginia University has encouraged students to play active roles in addressing the needs of the community during times of crisis.
