The weekend of July 5th and 6th proved to be an intense and challenging two days for the riders that partook in the annual Enbridge Ride to Conquer Cancer. Among the 1468 participants, twenty employees and friends of the Montreal-based firm Vigilant Global took to their bicycles under the banner of Vigi4Cure. Some of the team were taking part in the Ride for the first time, and others were seasoned riders participating for the third year running.

Over the two days, Vigi4Cure rode through sunshine, rain, wind and minor injuries, to finally cross the finish line in good form. On the way, they encouraged a teammate who took on the Ride to Conquer Cancer as a personal challenge and conquered the 200 km distance on foot in the honour of people close to him. His journey started in the small hours of the morning in order to gain a head start on his fellow riders, and finished in the evening of the second day when he was greeted by teammates, friends and family at the finish line.

The Ride to Conquer Cancer raised $5.3 million for the Segal Cancer Centre this year, with the help of teams like Vigi4Cure who dedicated their time to fundraising, training, and supporting the event.
