To Volkswagen, environmental care does not just mean building ever more efficient cars in ever more sustainable plants. The company is globally committed to the conservation of resources and the protection of biodiversity. In the example presented above, Volkswagen supports the work of marine biologists focusing on shark and penguin research.

Interested readers may further inform themselves on Volkswagen's strategic approach to sustainability in the Group's new CSR report. For the first time, the report includes essays by Board of Management members on economically, environmentally and socially responsible conduct as well as articles focusing on current issues. The Volkswagen 2014 sustainability report is available at http://sustainabilityreport2014.volkswagenag.com.
