San Francisco, April 21, 2015 /3BL Media/ – VolunteerMatch, the Web’s largest volunteer engagement network, will be hosting their 2015 VolunteerMatch Summit on December 1-2, 2015 at the Oakland Marriott City Center in Oakland, Calif.  For the first time ever, VolunteerMatch will gather its massive communities of socially responsible businesses, nonprofit organizations and volunteers in one place.

For the previous 13 years, the annual VolunteerMatch Summit has been an invite-only event reserved for VolunteerMatch’s corporate clients. This year, the 16-year-old organization has decided to open the Summit to non-client companies and national nonprofit organizations.

“The 2015 VolunteerMatch Summit is the realization of the online VolunteerMatch ecosystem,” said Greg Baldwin, president of VolunteerMatch. “By connecting companies, nonprofits and volunteers, we can learn how we can truly make a difference together.”

At this year’s Summit, which is appropriately themed “Come Together,” attendees will explore how to work together across sectors, harnessing the knowledge, resources and passions of volunteers to solve the world’s most pressing problems.

Highlights of the 2015 VolunteerMatch Summit will include a plenary session from Derreck Kayongo, founder of the Global Soap Project, as well as panels of social responsibility experts, interactive workshops, and networking opportunities.
