April 12-18 is National Volunteer Week in the United States. Volunteers in Keystone Human Services International Moldova Association, founded by the U.S.-based Keystone Human Services International, are dedicated to changing society's perceptions about people with disabilities. For the past three years, the volunteers in Keystone Moldova's Alternative Theater Troupe have staged 80 performances in 18 districts in the Republic of Moldova. Each performance engages the audience to recognize discrimination against people with disabilities and devise solutions to end it.

Rodica, a volunteer and expert with the troupe, says, "By being a volunteer, I have developed a lot of abilities; I have discovered the talent in myself. I think that volunteering means a change of personality and a change of the entire society."
