CAMPAIGN: A Commitment to Ending Domestic Violence

CONTENT: Blog

When I was younger, I never thought I would know anyone affected by domestic violence. As I got older, I found that wasn't true. As the years have gone by, I can think of three women specifically who endured abuse. And those are just the ones I know about.

The statistics say one in four women in the United States will experience abuse in her lifetime.

Are you that one? Or is it someone you know? Maybe both.

We’re naïve to think that we don’t know anyone affected. The truth is that we all do – whether we know it or not.

This week, we join with Mary Kay Inc. to promote their latest Public Service Announcement. This video puts faces behind the shocking statistic by telling the stories of four real domestic violence victors who overcame abusive relationships.

Watch the new Public Service Announcement and vote for it to win the prestigious Boston College corporate citizen film award. You can vote now until March 16.

If you or someone you know needs help, text “loveis” to 22522.

Will you help us spread awareness by voting and sharing on social media?
