CAMPAIGN: Cox Conserves

World Environment Day took place yesterday. At Cox Enterprises, we're continuing to celebrate it today and every day through Cox Conserves. We launched our national sustainability program in 2007 and have invested more than $100 million in sustainability and conservation initiatives since that time. Cox seeks to create positive environmental change in our communities by operating in ways that reduce our impact and inspire our employees, customers, suppliers and partners.

Cox Conserves Goals:

  • Send Zero Waste to Landfill by 2024
  • Become Carbon and Water Neutral by 2044

Employee Programs: Cox encourages its employees to be eco-friendly through a number of programs such as the national employee solar program, which provides up to $1,000 in incentives for employees who choose to install solar panel systems on their homes. Project examples:

  • National Employee Solar Program
  • Preferred Parking for Fuel-Efficient Vehicles
  • Subsidized Commuter Options
  • Electric Car Charging Stations
  • Solar Covered Parking
  • Volunteer Activities

Partnership Programs: Cox has national nonprofit partnerships with American Rivers, Ocean Conservancy and The Trust for Public Land. The company supports local initiatives across the nation, including more than $10 million in support of the Atlanta BeltLine. Cox also has a Supplier Sustainability Initiative that engages 100 of its suppliers that represent billions of dollars in products and services. Project examples:

  • More than 150 environmental volunteers recognized through Cox Conserves Heroes
  • $600,000 donated to local environmental nonprofits through Cox Conserves Heroes
