(3BL Media) El Dorado Hills, CA - May 14, 2012 - Recyclebank  and Waste Connections announced  that Jackson Elementary has reached its fundraising goal and received a grant from the Recyclebank Green Schools program, which awards schools grant money for unique student projects that will green their classrooms and communities. Representatives from Recyclebank and program partner, El Dorado Disposal Waste Connections, presented the school with a check on Thursday, May 10, to fund its green school project, installing and creating planter growing boxes. The ceremony was held at Jackson Elementary and included remarks by Michele Miller, Principal, Jackson Elementary, El Dorado Disposal and Recyclebank.

Schools across the country submitted green project proposals to Recyclebank® in order to participate in the Green Schools program. Recyclebank members donated their points to help fund the schools’ projects, and Recyclebank matched member point donations dollar-for-dollar. A critical program partner is Coca-Cola Live Positively, who helped schools across the U.S. meet their target grant goal and make their green project ideas a reality.
