American Express has partnered with TakePart, a community Web site that uses media to drive philanthropic action. They have created the Members Project 2010, an initiative to help Americans vote, volunteer, or donate to make a difference. Participants can decide the change they want to see and start contributing to it through the website as well as through its Facebook and Twitter pages. You do not have to be an American Express cardholder to participate. For more information, visit www.takepart.com.
India’s Corporate Affairs Ministry is upgrading its website to enable companies to file their CSR reports online. The Web filings will showcase the responsible business practices of the Indian corporate sector and increase transparency. The move was requested by the business community, and follows the Ministry’s introduction of voluntary guidelines on CSR for companies last December.
