CAMPAIGN: The CSR Minute

CONTENT: Press Release

Hello, I’m Emily Polk, and these are your CSR Minute headlines for Thursday, January 14th:

ARAMARK, a global food services provider, and the International Facility Management Association, a nonprofit that promotes research and education, have released a free guide for advancing sustainable practices within the food service sector. “Sustainability in the Food Service Environment” provides information in key areas such as building a business case for sustainability, procurement and handling of sustainable foods, and energy and waste management. The publication is the third in the Sustainability “How To” Guide Series by the IFMA Association.

A new report from CERES, a national network of investors, environmental organizations, and other public interest groups that work with business, concludes that a majority of the world’s largest investment managers do not include climate-related trends into investment decision making. The survey was conducted at the request of the Investor Network on Climate Risk, a network of 80-plus pension funds and other institutional investors who rely on asset managers to guide their investment portfolios. The report surveyed 84 asset managers who control $8.6 trillion dollars in assets, including 66 in the Pension & Investments Global 500.
