As BP faces a class action lawsuit filed by investors that accuses it of a lack of commitment to safety, the company has published the BP Sustainability Review for 2010. Promising to work hard to restore trust, the Review covers governance and risk management, the environment, future energy, and of course, safety issues. The Review also contains sections on BP’s sustainability reporting process and the verification of its data.

Japan Airlines, JAL, is playing a leading role in providing relief flights for the areas hardest hit by the earthquake and tsunami. In addition to operating 435 extra flights to northeastern Japan between March 12th and 26th, JAL increased capacity to 45,000 seats by scheduling larger aircraft to fly these routes. JAL will operate more extra flights between March 27th and 31st, cutting back on the flight frequency of its regularly scheduled domestic routes.
