Hello, I’m Emily Polk and these are your CSR Minute headlines for Wednesday, March 17th:
Canada’s Social Investment Organization, SIO, has published a new guide about SRI, socially responsible investing. The guide shows that SRI provides good returns, often outperforming more traditional investments. Advocis, Canada’s association for financial advisers, and SIO are holding a series of seminars across the country to teach advisors about SRI and how to guide interested clients. SRI in Canada represents over $609 billion Canadian dollars in assets.
The Albemarle Corporation, a developer, manufacturer, and marketer of specialty chemical solutions, has been selected as one of Corporate Responsibility Magazine’s “100 Best Corporate Citizens for 2010.” Based on over 360 data-points of public information, the 100 Best Corporate Citizens List is scored in seven different categories.
