The just released 2011 Carbon Disclosure Project Global 500 Report has found that, for the first time in the ten year history of the annual survey, the majority of corporations reviewed have embedded climate change actions into their business strategy. The report attributes this development to a growing board-level awareness of the link between energy efficiency and increased profitability. The CDP annual report examines carbon reduction activities at the world’s largest public corporations. PricewaterhouseCoopers U.K. advised CDP on the scoring of company response and drafting of the report.

Autodesk, a software provider, is offering free materials on net-zero energy buildings, greener materials, and energy efficiency. The Autodesk Sustainability Workshop shows how sustainability principles can be used to solve real-world environmental challenges. The new High Performance Buildings and Materials Selection resources are currently online. The New Energy Effective Design content will be available by the end of this month.
