Hello, I’m Emily Polk, and these are your CSR Minute headlines for Monday, February 8th:

The big question at the recent World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland was “how can business and consumers create a sustainable economy from the ground up?” Fast Company blogger Aron Cramer reports four reasons for a sense of optimism. First, sustainability is now one of the six pillars of the annual event. Second, the gathering genuinely made an effort to tackle the hard question of sustainable consumption. Third, the debate over the role of business in promoting sustainable outcomes continued at the highest levels. And fourth, a consensus view emerged that the future depends on sustainability as a driver of innovation.
