This is the final week to apply for and vote in the Gardens for Good contest, which is offering $65,000 through a Facebook campaign for urban farming ideas that produce organic food. The initiative has drawn 74 entries and 45,000 votes during September. Sponsored by Nature’s Path and Organic Gardening magazine, the contest ends this Friday.

The annual CSR Asia Summit opens today in Kuala Lumpur. The major topics to be discussed are Asian CSR strategies; community investment; sustainable supply chains and food security; and environmental issues. Mandatory regulations for the palm oil industry scheduled to take effect next year will also be reviewed. Bursa Malaysia, of the host country, has announced that it will launch an ESG Index next year.
