CAMPAIGN: The CSR Minute

CONTENT: Press Release

Hello, I’m Emily Polk, and these are your CSR Minute headlines for Tuesday, January 19th:

Google has announced that it will stop censoring its search results in China. The company also said that it has been victimized by Chinese cyber attacks, implying that they may have been government-directed and aimed at human rights advocates around the globe. While reassuring corporate users of Google Apps that their hosted data was safe, Google commented that the hacking was “notable for its high degree of sophistication” and raises important questions about Internet security and privacy. Google said that it is making the situation public in the interest of transparency, accountability, and maintaining the trust of its users.

Equator Artisan Coffees and Teas has launched a virtual storefront on FaceBook, the first food company to do so. Using innovative cloud commerce technology developed by Milyoni.com [pronounced “million eye”], the “iFanStore” allows customers to shop for the company’s artisan coffees and teas without leaving the FaceBook site. Equator is committed to acquiring and selling distinctive coffees and teas from growers who practice responsible land stewardship and biofriendly farming techniques.
