Hello, I’m Emily Polk, and these are your CSR Minute headlines for Tuesday, February 23rd:

A blog by Geoff Livingston on Mashable, the social media Web guide, names five cause marketing campaigns as the best corporate “social media for social good” efforts to date. Livingston, co-founder of Zoetica, which focuses on cause-related media, examined a wide range of initiatives including contests, giveaways, fundraising drives, benefit events, and partnerships with nonprofits and customers to create his list. The winners include campaigns by Crate and Barrel, Target, Ford, Stonyfield Farms, and Pepsi, with Tyson Foods receiving an honorable mention. 

An Atlanta-based T-shirt company, “I Am A Visual Statement,” IAAVS, has named Women for Women International and the Georgia Center for Child Advocacy as the beneficiaries of its philanthropic program. Founded by real estate developer Markesia Thomas-Akinbami, IAAVS is designed to raise funds and awareness for nonprofit organizations, with a focus on groups that provide services to women and young girls. Sales proceeds are shared with IAAVS’s partners.
