Nissan will offer employee pricing and delayed finance payments to consumers who suffered vehicle damage or loss due to the recent storms, floods, and tornadoes in the southeastern U.S. Consumers in affected areas listed on the FEMA website are eligible for the program. Nissan Americas is headquartered near Nashville, and operates major manufacturing facilities in Mississippi and Tennessee.

Taka Taka Solutions is the winner of Dell’s Social Innovation competition for 2011. Taka Taka Solutions, a project from the London School of Economics, won the grand prize of $50,000 in seed money to fund their venture that provides waste management solutions to developing countries. The award was selected in partnership with the University of Texas at Austin’s RGK Center for Philanthropy and Community Service.
