Novo Nordisk has been ranked 22nd on the first-ever ranking of the top 25 multinational workplaces, a list sponsored by the Great Place to Work Institute. To qualify for the World’s Best Multinational Workplaces List, a company must have appeared on at least five national Great Place to Work lists; have at least 5,000 employees worldwide; and at least 40 percent of their global workforce must work outside of the company’s home country.

Walgreen’s has donated $400,000 worth of personal care items to the United Service Organizations, the U.S.O., in Germany for wounded soldiers and their families. The donation includes first aid items, toiletries, diapers, and baby bottles, as well as coloring books, gum, and playing cards. The USO Warrior Center at Landstuhl, Germany, is the nearest treatment center for wounded soldiers coming from Iraq and Afghanistan.
