Puma Creative has announced the winner of the inaugural Puma Creative Impact Award. The top vote getter, “The End of the Line,” is a feature documentary that examines the impact of overfishing on the world’s oceans. The winning award of 25,000 Euros was made in conjunction with the Channel 4 Brit Doc Foundation.
 
The Allstate Foundation and the YWCA have partnered in a new campaign to focus on domestic violence. As part of Domestic Violence Awareness Month, the campaign’s Web site, PurplePurse.com, provides a safe resource for women to educate themselves and for dialogue to take place. Polls show that although domestic violence will affect one in four women in their lifetime, more than one-third of Americans have never discussed the issues with a friend or family member. And three out of five surveyed believe that it is a difficult issue to discuss.
