Target has announced its corporate responsibility scorecard. The retailer has launched a “Here for Good” portal to provide more information to employees and customers about healthier life decisions. It has also recycled 4,000 tons of shrink wrap and plastic bags in the last year and is ranked #2 on Greenpeace’s sustainable seafood list. In the future, the company is planning more energy-efficient buildings; will sell more responsible products; and will eliminate more waste. The report details specific goals met in 2010 and projects exact targets to be achieved by 2016.

The Carbon Disclosure Project has released a report that outlines how the world’s largest city governments are dealing with climate change. Among the highlights: 62 percent of reporting cities have established a climate change action plan. The most common activities are subsidies, fiscal incentives, and building standards. Cities worldwide are also overhauling their major infrastructure such as transportation and renewable energy.
