This month, UPS employees will deliver 275,000 hours of service as part of the company’s 9th annual Global Volunteer Month. To encourage employees in their efforts, the UPS Foundation will donate $100,000 through an employee contest, providing 10 employees each with a $10,000 grant to support the organization with which they volunteered. UPS employees give an average of 80 hours of volunteer time each year.

GE’s Hispanic Forum, a Hispanic employee-driven organization, is partnering with the Hispanic Scholarship Fund and the GE Foundation to launch the GE Hispanic Forum Scholarship. The initiative will help aspiring Hispanic students in Philadelphia get a college education. As part of the launch, 650 GE volunteers will participate in a day of service.
