CAMPAIGN: The CSR Minute

CONTENT: Press Release

Hello, I’m Emily Polk, and these are your CSR Minute headlines for Tuesday, June 15th:

Darden Restaurants, parent company of Red Lobster, Olive Garden, and LongHorn Steakhouse, among other brands, has launched a redesigned corporate Web site and a new micro site dedicated to its sustainability initiatives. The new company site will provide more transparency about the company. The micro site features data on Darden’s commitment to seafood sustainability and reduction of energy use; strategic partnerships with third-party organizations, including the Sustainability Consortium; and video testimonials from Darden employees and partners.

The second SEE Policy Booklet has just been published by the SEE Project, a network of eleven European partners working with national and regional governments to integrate design into public policy. Titled “Realising Sustainability and Innovation Through Design,” the booklet outlines the growing connections between sustainability goals and innovation in new products and services. This is the second of four SEE Policy Booklets to be published by 2011, financed by the European Regional Development Fund.
