Sunoco has agreed to disclose more safety data, including information on its safety policies at refineries and other production facilities. The company’s 2011 CSR Report will include facts on the tracking and categorization of safety management events. Sunoco will also present a worker fatigue policy and develop a tracking system to report on the implementation of that policy for its 2012 CSR report.

The London Benchmark Group, a business organization that measures charitable support among its 200 leading company members, reports that cash donated by U.K. companies to charities has fallen to 57 percent from 67 percent between 2008 and 2010, due to the financial crisis. At the same time, U.K. banks, traditionally among Britain’s biggest corporate donors, have stepped up their donated services. LBG reports that once this in-kind support is accounted for, the value of the financial sector’s community activities increased by an average of one million pounds per firm from 2009 to 2010.
