The University of Massachusetts Dartmouth(@UmassD) has released its third University Sustainability Report prepared within the Global Reporting Initiative G3 framework. Last year, UMass Dartmouth, one of five universities listed on the GRI website, became the first university in the U.S. and the world to release an A-level sustainability report according to GRI’s G3 guidelines. The report was produced by MBA students at the Charlton College of Business at the University as an assignment in Corporate Social Responsibility and Business Law, a core class of the curriculum. The GRI framework is the most widely used methodology for reporting an organization’s environmental, societal, and economic impacts.

Bell’s Brewery(@BellsBrewery) has announced its progress toward more sustainable brewing operations using triple bottom line principles. Highlights include installation of a green roof on the company’s cold storage warehouse; a customized employee wellness benefit program; and the composting of all food waste from its café. The Michigan-based Bell Brewery distributes its beer in 18 states.
