Hello, I’m Emily Polk, and these are your CSR Minute headlines for Wednesday, December 1st:

The United Nations Foundation’s Nothing But Nets campaign is marking the one-year anniversary of its partnership with the National Basketball Association and HP this month. Nothing But Nets is a global, grassroots effort to prevent malaria in Africa. The program joined with the NBA and HP last December in an initiative geared toward sports fans to help fulfill the campaign’s goal of providing anti-malaria nets to refugees in 15 African countries. To date, Nothing But Nets has raised more than $30 million dollars and distributed over three million nets.

BNP Paribas is the winner of the Award for Excellence in Corporate Social Responsibility given by Commodities Now, a British trade magazine. The award notes that BNP Investment partners have received the certification of specialization in sustainable development by Novethic on three of its funds. Novethic is a French center that researches CSR and socially responsible investments. BNP is the only bank in France to have been continuously named to the Dow Jones World Sustainability Index since 2002.
