From July 9th through July 30th - TransFair USA will receive $2.50 for every bag of Green Awakening’s delicious, all-organic, 100%-Fair Trade Certified™ coffee grown exclusively by small, local cooperatives in the mountains of Peru.

Fair Trade offers consumers a powerful way to reduce poverty through their everyday shopping. An alternative approach to conventional trade, Fair Trade offers farmers and workers in developing countries better prices, improved terms of trade, safe working conditions and the opportunity to improve their lives and plan for their futures. Despite the global economic downturn, in 2009 Fair Trade farmers and workers earned more additional income than ever before—$45 million—including $14 million in community development funds that were invested in life-changing social and economic programs such as schools, healthcare and reforestation. To support Fair Trade, consumers simply choose from the more than 6,000 products that feature the Fair Trade Certified logo.
