(3BLMedia/theCSRfeed) Doug Conant, President and CEO of Campbell Soup Company, a CECP member company, was recently interviewed by fastcompany.com expert blogger, Alice Korngold, about his company's commitment to corporate social investment and employee engagement.

Conant, who currenly sits on CECP's Board of Directors, will attend CECP's 6th Annual Board of Boards CEO Conference to discuss the efforts of corporations in making positive impact in society. Meanwhile, Conant is working to ensure his company does all it can in order to improve their local community. 

Campbell's Soup, based in Camden, New Jersey will invest $10 million over 10 years to Camden schools with the goal of reducing hunger and childhood obesity by 50% among the school district's 23,000 students. Beyond financial support, employee volunteering will be a cornerstone of Campbell's new childhood obesity and hunger program. Employee engagement is so much a part of Campbell's that  just last year, Campbell's employees donated 16,000 volunteer hours.

At CECP's 6th Annual Board of Boards CEO Conference, held February 28, 2011, Conant and other industry leading CEOs will discuss "Business at its Best: Maximizing Long-Term Profitability and Societal Impact" to discover best practices in the field of corporate philanthropy and together resolve challenges to corporate social investment.
