WHERE: Ottawa
Priority Code: 3BL1

Featuring:
Albert J. Simard,
Knowledge Manager, Defence Research and Development Canada (DRDC)

Effective knowledge management is a goal of all public sector organizations. As demographic pressures increase and executives move faster to new roles, new approaches are needed to capture, store, and communicate knowledge. Wikis and Facebook can provide new ways to handle knowledge that might otherwise be contained on an internal network or lost altogether.

Albert Simard will review recent progress in this field, including the environment, social networks that support collaboration, and how to both capture network outputs and translate them into action.
