It could get easier for Erie high school students to make it to college over the next five years.

The Erie School District announced a $24 million, grant-funded program called "Gaining Options for College Collaborative" or Go College-Erie," which will help students at East High School, Strong Vincent High School and Central Career and Technical School make it to college.
 
Funded by a $20 million grant from the U.S. Department of Education and $4 million more from the GE Foundation, the program will fund college fairs, financial aid workshops and two "college coaches" at each school.
