(3BLMedia/theCSRfeed) WINTERPARK, FL - June 18, 2010 - Green Awakening Coffee (www.green-awakening.com ), an inclusive and socially responsible, fair trade, organic coffee company has recently debuted with a core focus on helping to raise money for American non-profits while improving the lives for Peruvian coffee farmers.

Selling Green Awakening’s products exclusively online allows for much lower distribution costs and results in $2.50 for each 12 oz. bag of coffee sold to go to non-profit and educational organizations. This effort is expected to be a powerful fundraising tool for Green Awakening’s non-profit and educational organization partners.

Green Awakening works directly with small cooperatives to source organically grown coffee, which results in an increase in farmer income by at least 30% when compared with farmer sales to importers. Additionally, a core focus of Green Awakening is to improve the lives of women and their social, economic and political status within their communities.

“We are excited about creating a business model that allows the small farmers to be partners and benefit from the business’ growth and revenues,” says Dario Agama, President of Green Awakening “At the same time, our customers can also contribute to local organizations and institutions”.

Green Awakening’s mission can be described in The Change We Seek® (http://www.bcorporation.net/greenawakening) which details how the company gives back to communities and seeks to improve the environment and communities including:

• Supporting women entrepreneurial efforts by marketing, “Cafe Mujer”, a coffee grown solely by women.

• Creating an Education Fund for the farmer’s children by allocating 50¢ of each sale to a cooperative-managed fund for education.

• Offering training and technical support programs to help farmers increase their crop yields by as much as 100%.

• Providing a real alternative to illegal crops through collaboration with the American and Peruvian governments in the Coca Substitution Program to provide attractive, alternative crops to farmers.

• Allowing customers to support their local communities and schools through the Green Awakening Giving Back Program.
