(3BL Media) March 14, 2012 - Why is sustainability important to your organization? Sustainability is the future of business as many companies are looking for training resources on sustainability for both internal training of their own employees and to offer to their customers so they can train their employees. While many see the positives in promoting sustainability, there are also numerous challenges. There are those in government and private industry who  are still not ready to accept global climate issues and feel this is what sustainability is all about. Green Education Online is trying to help by offering education for management and employees on topics such as information on alternative fuels training on how a greener fleet would run more efficiently and instruct on more efficient ways of doing business.

Green Education On Line, who has “green” educated over 7,000 online, at conferences and on site is now ready to tackle the employee pool globally. The company who educates company management and employees in implementing greener business practices says there are many corporations globally that are looking for training resources for internal training of their employees yet have not discovered a good, comprehensive source of existing materials. They deliver in an on line delivery information on CSR and green business practices. Many companies are looking for training resources in these topics for on line delivery.

Kerry Mitchell, President of Green Education On Line says, “We meet this need in the most professional and transparent delivery possible and we can customize our Learning Management System for our clients so they can brand the series in their own delivery.” Their catalog the Sustainability Education Series, is  delivered on line and is for government and businesses, their affiliates and all employees to learn about ways to implement energy saving initiatives learn about planning for sustainability by implementing greener business practices, the first of its kind. The courses include superior testing, narration and a high quality design. Mitchell says, “ Our courses are SCORM compliant meeting stringent requirements for reporting for human resource departments.”

The topics covered in their curriculum include steps in planning for sustainability, the importance of positioning effectively and ethically for social responsibility, greening supply chains, environmental management systems, water conservation, green fleet management, etc. “We have an environmental company in China and another company in Canada who are using this as a gateway to business development.” Mitchell says companies in other countries seem to show more interest and she says this is because acceptance is still not as universal in the US. “These topics need to be presented to every employee domestically and abroad if we are to effect change because if nothing else, the courses teach employees how to reduce costs for their employers and I see no downside in that.”  The company’s “Green Building for Insurance Professionals” course is approved in 35+ states for continuing education credits and is distributed through WebCE, a well respected on line provider of insurance continuing education.
