The Hasbro toy company is making its iconic action figure, G.I. Joe, more eco-friendly. The company is reducing the polyvinyl chloride and other non-recyclable materials in the packaging used to market the toy. Hasbro will completely eliminate PVC in packaging for all new products by the start of 2013. In 2010, Hasbro replaced all wire ties in its packages with ties made from paper rattan or bamboo mix, eliminating 34,000 miles of wire.

More than 1,000 children are getting their holiday wishes of clothing, toys, games, and other gifts, thanks to the Cheer for Children program, an initiative of Henry Schein Cares, the corporate social responsibility program of Henry Schein, Inc. Team Schein Members sponsor individual children and contribute their time and money to support the holiday wishes. Henry Schein Inc., a provider of health care products and services, focuses on access to health care for underserved and at-risk communities around the world through its global CSR program.
