(3BL Media / theCSRfeed) June 26, 2011 - Third-party CSR ratings can affect your share price - good and bad, concludes recent research that tested how additions and deletions from social indexes influence share price. 

"One important takeaway is that investors don't like surprises," says co-author Jonathan Doh, a professor at Villanova University, Pennsylvannia. "Firms interested in sustaining a positive CSR reputation should make ongoing, everyday investments that are genuine and consistent."
