(3BL Media / theCSRfeed) May 17, 2011 -  Lynne Ford, chief executive officer of ING Individual Retirement, has joined the Junior Achievement USA Board of Directors for a three-year term. Junior Achievement empowers young people to own their economic success via K-12 volunteer-delivered programs focusing on work readiness, entrepreneurship and financial literacy.

Ford is responsible for ING’s U.S. individual retirement business, offering guidance and retail retirement investment and income solutions to pre-retirees, retirees and individuals rolling over retirement plan assets. She joined ING in January of 2010.
Prior to joining ING, Ford served as executive vice president and managing director of the Retail Retirement Group at Wells Fargo, where she was responsible for the sales, marketing and operations for annuity and IRA products distributed across the company. She spent the majority of her career at Wachovia, which merged with Wells Fargo in late 2008, serving in a number of executive capacities within its investment and distribution organizations.
Ford noted, “With Americans’ individual long-term financial security in their own hands, financial literacy is more critical than ever. I share ING’s and Junior Achievement’s passion for education and this subject. I look forward to joining the board of directors to help strengthen the financial literacy of our young people through Junior Achievement programs.”
Jack E. Kosakowski, president and chief executive officer of Junior Achievement USA, added, “Lynne’s demonstrated success with leading organizations in the financial sector makes her a strong addition to our board. I look forward to working with her to help boost our young peoples’ ability to compete in the global economy.”
Ford earned a bachelor’s degree from Davidson College and a master’s degree from the University of North Carolina, Charlotte.
