The North Face has published its first public sustainability report, focusing mostly on efforts in 2010. The report details the company’s global goals and achievements in water, chemical, energy, and waste reductions, and includes notes on where the outdoor gear supplier falls short of best practices. The North Face Report follows the Global Reporting Initiative G3 Guidelines.
Diageo has published its first Sustainable Packaging Guidelines. The plan defines the company’s approach to sustainable packaging, one based on the common principles of “reduce,” reuse, recycle” and includes examples of best practices as well as guidance to suppliers and other stakeholders.
